Another great part about thrift stores besides finding amazing deals is that many support certain charities, or your local dog shelter, and churches. Buying from these places not only enables you to find cheap furniture to furnish your brand new place, but also allows you to help out people who need it as well. It is typically a win-win situation.

Other great places to look for items for your home or office are yard sales and websites such as freecycle.com or craigslist. Yard sales and moving sales are excellent places because the people holding them are always willing to bargain because they really want the item gone.
